Rocktown History provides an “unexpected gem” in charming Dayton, Virginia. With large galleries, changing exhibitions, the electric map of Stonewall Jackson’s 1862 Valley Campaign, and an extensive genealogy library, visitors can enjoy an hour or a day discovering the stories of local history!

Rocktown History partners with generations past, present, and future to collect, preserve, and share the tapestry of local history stories through museum exhibits, library resources, history publications, student activities, and more.
