New Market Battlefield Visitor Center and Museum

The visitor center features information and exhibits on the Battle of New Market and how to tour the battlefield today. The New Market Battlefield Visitor Center and Museum showcases the John Bracken Collection including artifacts from the French and Indian War to Vietnam with an extensive focus on the Civil War. Within the museum is the Wellford Gallery of original Confederate Art.

Shop at the museum store which offers books, relics, souvenirs, and visitor information on New Market and battlefields throughout the region. A trail system begins on site that follows the Confederate advance as they drove the Union army from the town during the May 15, 1864, battle.
