Annual Membership

Membership contributions are what sustain our organization’s ability to work, day in and day out, on the very complicated work of battlefield preservation.  Our members provide the resources needed to operate the National Historic District and protect and care for our battlefield properties once they’re preserved.  We have thousands of donors who help to preserve acre after acre of battlefield, but there are a few – about a thousand – who understand that these projects don’t just happen, and that a lot of work goes on over and above that required to purchase a parcel of ground.  They understand that our leadership and advocacy is needed in Richmond and Washington and throughout the Shenandoah Valley to work with partners and municipalities; to raise awareness; to work with children.
